Who Else Thinks Like This???
It still amazes me how some people, particularly entrepreneurs, have an opportunity to achieve some wonderful things by taking a few small steps, but they don’t because it’s not convenient.
Take a look at this 1 minute video
I get a laugh every time I view it. Let me know what you think.
Let me know your thoughts about this video!!

Now that is funny.
Bedford,
It is obvious they are stuck in their minds and they both are only functioning on their own conditioning.
Butcher
yes that is funny. Only a few steps to the top and they refuse to move forward. They are looking for someone else to come and rescue them when they can rescue themselves.
Too funny! Been there, done that! I’ve been so close to a goal that I stopped a few steps short of reaching it. Thanks for sharing!
You are right, I laughed when I saw the initial stopping of the escalator and their responses, however, this is troubling. Bro. Bedford you are a mind provoking individual IF we actually look at what you present. We as individuals (entrepreneurs, parents, teachers, community leaders, etc.) have gotten so content with excuses that we won’t press forward to make a change, improve our conditions or acknowledge our complacency. Once we identify the problem, you’ve got to move pass it. Kudos Bro. Bedford for opening our eyes, again.
This is the way things are in corporate America, and some entrepreneurial business. This is the mind set of the 9-5 worker including management, and upper management.
The true entrepreneur has a strategy,a plan for the strategy, and a exit strategy for the back up plan. When you have to hunt in order to eat you use all your being to achieve success.
People working 9 to 5 with benefits are condition to think like the people on the escalator. “Somebody” help me! instead of helping yourself, and having the common sense to think, instead of being told what to do.
This country was build on Entrepreneurial vision an leadership. The politics of corporate America is crippling to this country and it’s people.
This was a very good video ,and lesson for people that want to improve themselves. Good Job!
Sometime a visual of the problem you are suffering from is all it takes. While a laughed at the video, it’s sad as it relates to my own inability to take the next step in making my business successful.
Wow it makes me analyze myself, I am always complaining about where I am in life but I am standing on the escalator waiting for someone to rescue me. Thank you for the mirror image of myself.
It’s amazing how we are often so conditioned sometimes that we believe that it’s someone else’s responsibility to do what needs to be done. This is an example of failure to think outside the box. It’s obvious that the escalator stopped working but, neither person took action to mitigate their circumstance and step up or down the escalator.
It makes me wonder what kind of mindset we’re in….it saddens me to think that people are not using the intelligence God gave them. Help us Lord!
A very enlighten video! As an successful entrepreneur once said, “I dare you to be different”. We need to take a step out on faith but most of us are all the same and rather stay in our comfort zone.
This video points to the helplessness of our social conditioning.
Everything in our lives is becoming driven by “auto pilot” — cars that park themselves, appliances that talk back to us, mobile apps that program our DVRs, just get on board the train (escalator) to instant success!
When the escalator stops, many people are so helpless that they are unaware that they can simply walk up the steps. We have turned our lives over to the things that dumb us down. And the result is that the Information Age that is supposed enable us, makes us more helpless.
That reminds me of the adage about golf, “Golf is a game played in a space of about 8 inches — the space between our ears.” When we turn over the management of that space to gadgets and talking heads, we lose control of what brings joy to achieving success in life.
Stay alert! Step up to the challenge of success. Otherwise, you will get stuck on an escalator.
OMG! LMBO
How about I was just a in a similar situation. I saw Mason (Mason Radio) in Starbucks last week and my enterpreneur self said “get up and ask Mason if he would promote your event next week”. I sat there going over several scenario’s on what and how to ask only for him to walk out the door a few minutes later. I had ample time to make my pitch, just needed 15 seconds.
No this video puts a stop to my fear of success. LOL!
Wow!! This video shows that we have to take responsibilty for our own lives and stop waiting for someone else to do it for. The man and woman had another option, get off the escalator and JUST MOVE FORWARD!!!
It totally hit the nail on the head. Too many of us, including myself, see ourselves as not being able to take thah next step without someone holding our hands instead of put GOD first and stepping out on what GOD gave us ( FAITH ).
Too cool Bro, thanks for sharing. And after you get to the top you’ll look back and see it wasn’t so hard after all. Because we’re capable.
Not only was this funny, but my 9 year old watched it with me, and he immediately said, Hello, just walk up the escalator, that’s even funnier.
This was too funny Bro. Bedford!
But it did make me think, ‘How many times have I done that,’ stopped and acted like I couldn’t get around that obstacle.
I have an ebook to write NOW!!!
This is hilarious, and it speaks a good message. We can take the message-taking a few simple steps- and apply it to all aspects of our life; spiritually, mentally, physically, etc. Great post. Short and really to the point.
Stuck on an escalator? for real doe? Not an elevator, not an airplane, an escalator? LOL! This has happen to me and before I could think about it, my feet started moving toward the top of the escalator.
Now this is a classic, one to help take the load of the day off your shoulders.
But while I’m laughing so hard at them, I have an ebook to write that I keep getting stuck on. I guess everyone’s mountain is different but the same ending.
Wow! I have some work to do. Thanks for the wake up call! Please continue, there or many more of us that need that call.
This is hilarious! I think they forgot to wake up before they left home.
WOW! This is funny first then sad. Its sad because I’ve been there and sometimes I still am there. The great part is that it is motivating me to continue to move towards my goal, on my own and with God’s help, and stop waiting for someone to come and rescue me. No one ever has and no one ever will. I know that now. Thanks!
