Hitting Your Target With A Strategy!

Unfortunately, for most entrepreneurs, particularly black entrepreneurs we run our businesses as if we are sitting in a casino waiting on our luck to change.

In fact, that’s the language most use, “I’m just waiting on my time to come”. Sitting at the phone rocking back and forth saying “come on baby…come on baby…ring, riiiiing…I need some money”.

Or we build our business using the spaghetti theory, just throw it against the wall and hope it sticks.

Many have great products or services, but their entrepreneurial life isn’t quite clicking the way they want it to be.

Why?

Too many entrepreneurs start businesses without any real clarity as to what they want their business to accomplish.

They don’t know WHAT result they’re looking for and they don’t know WHY they want to produce it.

This leads to a business full of Frustration and Struggle.

What’s The Target?

Once you know what you want your business to become it is easier to implement a strategy that gives you a more certain path to get there.

You see, many entrepreneurs spend all their time searching frantically for “how to” advice, and constantly neglect solid “strategic alternatives”.

And that is a big mistake.

Because when you know WHAT & WHY and you think STRATEGIC, you’ll always find the HOW TO.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Knowing how to do what it is you want to get done is important. But succeeding in business requires a strong intention to succeed.

Strategic Thinking Leads You To The Target

Some of the things that we have been covering in recent post are all a part of your strategic thinking.

Getting clear on your Passions & Strengths and building a business around them is strategic.

Learning powerful marketing concepts like Joint Ventures is strategic. And these lead you accurately to where you intend to go.

But what pulls all of this together and makes sure you hit your target is your action plan.

What is Your Action Plan?

This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where your strategy comes into fruition.

You can have the best product or service built around your passion and strength, but if you don’t have an Action Plan you will find yourself spinning your wheels.

You will find yourself feeling zapped of crucial energy because of so much wasted effort because of false starts.

In order for your strategy to be truly a strategy you have to carefully plan what should come first, second, third, and so forth.

You have to plan products (front end-back end), what’s the best business model, what are the marketing tactics you’ll use.

These are some of the things that must be planned out first. Or as I stated as I started this post, you’ll be running your business as if you’re gambling in a casino.

So if your business is at a point where you have a lot of activity going on and you’re not achieving your desired results, chances are you don’t have a strategy that takes you from your vision to hitting your target.

I spend a great deal of time helping my private coaching clients develop an overall action plan to make sure their vision and goals are attainable.

Let Me Know if you agree or disagree with this point.

Talk to you soon.
